We are also currently hiring a Content Marketing Manager and expect the Marketing team to continuously grow through 2023.

About You

We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to join our marketing team. This is a new position within the team, and you’ll be able to immediately add value to our marketing, sales, and support teams. You’re a T-shaped marketer who could be described as a Jack/Jane of all Trades who has mastered some. 

You’ve worked in B2B marketing, preferably in tech, and even more preferably in cybersecurity. You understand the complexities of the B2B buying process and the personas involved in decision making.

Responsibilities

On a regular basis, you’ll:

  • Work with the Head of Marketing to develop and iterate Macrium’s marketing strategy, targeting, and positioning
  • Research, write, edit, and update content across multiple streams - including blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, ebooks and more.
  • Collaborate with the Product team to understand the product road map, craft propositions, identify value propositions, develop marketing messages and launch products to market
  • Continuously review the teams tactics and technologies to ensure were taking a best-practice approach to all marketing activity
  • Be in close contact with members of all departments, including software engineers, sales, marketing, and customer support - looking for opportunities to create and improve content to meet their needs
  • Work on marketing projects such as competitor reviews or CRM dashboard reporting or marketing automation
  • Be a brand ambassador internally and externally, building a deep understanding over time of tone of voice, competitive positioning, product capabilities and customer benefits and being able to articulate these across any channel and for any audience
  • Be a part of broader marketing and sales conversations to ensure efforts are supporting the company’s greater goals
  • You’ll work within a global team and will need to build strong relationships with stakeholders across all departments in the business to uncover the insights and stories we need to tell

The successful candidate has:

  • Earned a BA in Marketing, English, or Communications - or comparable experience
  • 3-5 years of professional marketing experience, preferably in a B2B SaaS company.
  • A portfolio of work of which they’re proud
  • The ability to think both creatively and analytically, knowing how to best structure content for various technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong self-management skills, and the ability to prioritise multiple projects and stick to deadlines
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills, with a knack for taking the complex and making it easy to understand

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in complex B2B software, digital security, or data protection.
  • An understanding of user personas, who is involved in the B2B buying process, and how to tailor similar information to address different pain points.
  • Marketing CRM experience, specifically Hubspot
  • Experience working with a remote team spread across several time zones.
  • Comfortable creating and recording audio/video content.

Application process

  • Intro Call (30 mins) This will focus on your motivations and interests, your journey to date and some of the experiences you’ve had, along with a chance to share more about Macrium and our Marketing efforts so far

  • Marketing Interview (1 hour) During this stage, we’ll focus on your approach to designing and producing impactful content, iterating your approach using success metrics, and how you like to work across teams. Prior to this stage, you’ll be given information that will be used on tasks we’ll work through together on the day. Please note, no extra work needs to be done beforehand

  • Team Interview (1 hour) - We also think it’s important you have a chance to meet your potential future teammates to get a better sense of your day-to-day life at Macrium
